About Young Engineers Uganda
Young Engineers Uganda is the franchise that started it all. Part of the global Young Engineers network operating in over 70 countries, it brings a proven, child-centred curriculum to Ugandan learners — using LEGO® bricks, motorised models and guided experiments to make science, technology, engineering and mathematics tangible and genuinely fun.
Every lesson follows our edutainment philosophy: children build a working model, then discover the scientific principle behind it. Learning is spiral — concepts return at greater depth each term — so a six-year-old building a simple lever today is engineering a motorised, programmed machine a few years from now.
What students do
- Design and build motorised LEGO models that demonstrate real physics and mechanics
- Progress through age-banded courses: Big Builders, Algo Buddy, Robo Bricks, Bricks Challenge and Galileo Technique
- Develop problem-solving, teamwork, presentation and early coding skills
- Qualify for national robotics competitions and international Young Engineers events
Where it runs
