VEX Robotics Uganda
VEX is the most widely used competitive-robotics platform in the world, and ASIST is its home in Uganda. Teams design, build and program robots to complete each season's game challenge, competing in regional qualifiers, the national championship and — for our best teams — the VEX World Championship in the United States, which Ugandan students have now attended three years running.
Beyond the trophies, VEX builds the habits that matter: iterative engineering design, version-controlled programming, an engineering notebook, and the composure to debug a robot live under competition pressure.
What teams gain
- Mentored build seasons on real VEX IQ and VEX V5 hardware
- Programming in blocks, Python or C++ depending on level
- Tournament experience, judging, and the engineering-design process
- A clear pathway from school club to the global stage
Competition categories
VEX IQ
PrimarySnap-together robotics for younger builders learning the fundamentals of mechanisms and code.
VEX V5
Secondary & TertiaryAdvanced metal-build competition robotics with high-performance motors, sensors and autonomous routines.
